Lisa Bearnson, yep, the "queen Bee" of scrap booking (and a little empire called Creating Keepsakes) is coming to Timeless Treasure in two days....I am more than excited...which bugs me a bit. I am so excited to meet her...to watch her, to see how she ticks....to listen to her...to let her know how much she inspires me...to do what I love, to express my thoughts through a creative outlet...but all in all, God created her, just like me, and you...she is just a person who has created a life around what she loves, what she believes in, and a way to express what matters most to her....with a little perk here & there...of creating an EMPIRE...sounds like Oprah, Donald & Martha....yes, in my rolodex of important people, she is filed under B...(next to Bon Jovi)
There is a page contest & she gave the challenge to those who are coming to crop & meet her, to create a page based on the theme of "What Matters Most" and since I am an employee, I can not enter..BUT I love the title and the thoughts that it presents....I am choosing that phrase as my mantra. To use it for creating scrapbooks, journal entries, design work, basic everyday living, parenting, love, family life...you name it, it is going to be based on it. Maybe all along it has been, and I just did not realize it until it was written down in front of me, but now, it is going to be a noticeable standard. something I will teach my children to live by. When I make a decision, when I create a thought, when I answer a question, when I ask a question, when I make a choice...It will be based around that phrase....and as I was blogging this REALLY EARLY morning...I can across this quote, from none other than OPRAH....

can you imagine what this world would be like if everyone lived like that? I am sure GOD has mentioned it numerous times to us, and we have heard it....we just have not listened.

Yes, God has knocked me over the head several times because I can't seem to get it (lol). So every once in a while he sends everyday people with the message hoping we will listen to them. If only we had just listened to him first we might be further along. Thanks for the message today...I needed it.

You're so eloquent for so early. I love that quote by Oprah. Glad you are feeling so focused on what matters. I know you don't always feel that way but when I think of you one of the first things I think of is what a great mommmy you are... really! Have a good one!

How fun that you will get to hang with Lisa B! Obviously I met her at my CK SOY contest awards dinner...along with her sister. They were so sincere...I think that is how great people rise to the top. I was so happy to have met them and to be able to share my story and scrap pages with them. What am honor...especially for a 'scrap newcomer'! Tell her 'hi' from me. My scrap philosophy from day one has been to 'scrap what truly matters'. I didn't know I was on to something so big. It's the truth- I hope you have a great time and learn new things and get inspired.
