I am not vocal, boisterous or pushy religious person. Last night at church I learned so much about "Spreading the Good News" & how hard it is at this time of the year, the most important time of the year to do it...it is the daily hustle bustle of the season, how we soooo over-do everything this ONE MONTH of the YEAR...we feel the need to bake ( well, honestly, that does not apply to me, as I bake..ALOT) but a majority of people feel the need to bake alot, and in one month, to send a card or letter to everyone you have ever known, to find time between school, work, church, homework, chores, etc. etc. to go out and buy at least one, if not many, gifts for everyone in our families, teachers, neighbors..on and on...to take time to go to more parties & open houses in one month then some do in an entire year...with this and so many other things going on in the one month, we forget about the reason for the season....I was reminded and taught to make this a better December....and I want to share with my children & with you just what I learned....and here is a key thought to remember...Santa brings us happiness...Jesus brings us Joy....and it is about JOY.....To have JOY...you must first, enjoy it yourself....To find & have JOY...you must make the time...To want JOY you must plan to do it....and to get JOY...you must trust GOD....This one month, take a red pen and cross out some of what you believe to be the "must-do's" and make a plan to make it a better December....find the JOY, live the JOY, share the JOY...
here are some fulfilling ways to get it....
Pray for JOY for your friends & family...those who need it, want it, don't know about it and have it!
Read to your kids...about the reason
Serve Someone..
Give Hope to Someone....
Smile at Someone...
Find Joy & Spread Joy Friends.....I will get back to creative things tomorrow!

Amen! I got myself a big red sharpie, ready to go to work on that must do list! What a great blog post, I have to digest it.

Amen! This is so true and such an amazing post. How much better Christmas would be if we didn't overdo it and forgot about the hustle and bustle of it all. Thanks for the reminder.
