This may sound similar to a post I have posted in the past, but it has happened again...yesterday I thought about today's post..
I have written a "Back to Basics" type curriculum (ew, sounds so...scholarly)on none other than...scrapbooking...A class that will be taught monthly for Timeless Treasures called "Back to Basics". I am going to teach it tonight, to the other instructors so that they can teach you folks out there..
the ones who want to scrapbook but get too overwhelmed...
that want to scrapbook but don't think you have the time,
that want to scrapbook, but don't think are creative enough...
that want to but don't think they have the time ( I know that I repeated myself, but it is the number one reason people don't)....you get the picture (no pun intended)...(honestly, I am trying to be serious and I am crackin my own self up!)
anyways, I have been thinking about the ways I need to reach inside these other instructors and help them to feel the passion I do about this whole concept of scrapbooking and how to ease in the new scrapper and explain and help them "feel" the love, desire and passion ....because folks, it really is not just about paper...nor scrapbooking.
Of course you can look at it that way, as a hobby, a craft, a way to "get out" with the girls for cropping...but really, at least for me and my close scrap friends....it is about soooo much more...
and it was confirmed to me again, in an email I received yesterday (after I had the thoughts that I just explained)...
Nancy is a gal that reads my blog, that has left many comments & sends me many nice emails. Although I do not know Nancy, I am sure, if I met her on the sidewalk today, I would feel like I could sit down and chit chat without any hesitation. She sent me an email yesterday & asked me to do something for her...
She asked me to do a couple of doodles for her.
Now I doodle all the time....and I know that many of you enjoy them, but the little bit of a difference here is, Nancy just had twin girls this past weekend....but they were 13 weeks early. She asked me to doodle a prayer for them, and little name tags for their incubators....so that when the nurses and dr.s are with them, treating them, and the family is with them, they can all be reminded....
this, my friends...Is why I do what I do....why I know that where I am right now...at this moment...is right where I am supposed to be...
please keep these little girls...and the family in your prayers...I have asked Nancy to update me on the situation and will let you know the moment I know anything.
Have a wonderful day.

My prayers are with this family and I hope these babies get to come home soon.
I just printed out that verse and I'm going to hang it in my house. Maybe this will help my son (18 year old) understand that some things are just beyond comprehension (he wanted to know why God has us in this horrible world full of shooting and killing)and we have to just leave it up to the big guy upstairs.
