This, That & The Other...
F is for Forgot.
I forgot to notify & announce the winner of the One Small Word Doodle...man...not a good sign, that I forgot..I was so taken and overwhelmed with what all of you want to do this year...and with all of the rad doodles I have been doing (yes...I said "Rad")..that I just simply forgot.
W is for Winner...& the winner of the Doodle is Becky...and here is her comment:
Using my Word of the Year instead of New Year's resolutions this year. Would love one of your doodles to remind me of my focus this year. My word for 2009 is DISCIPLINE - "habits and ways of acting that are gotten through practice". I want to focus on being disciplined in many areas of my life - Spiritually - reading the Bible daily (just bought a One Year Chronological Bible) ; Health - making healthy food choices and daily exercise; Leisure time - making time for myself and my family.
great word Becky! Discipline can work in all area of our lives and is something we probably all could focus on.
Now, before I forget this one...there is another winner to announce from yesterday's belated blog challenge....
C is for Congrats...to Shawna Samples...she is the winner of the big birthday box..congrats (please email me your address...) Thank you all for playing...that was fun!
okay...with those things checked off the list...onto some creative things...
D is for Doodles....Thank you for all of your orders...keep em' coming! I will be scanning in and adding more to the One Little Word album over there on the left as well as working on more....they look so great...This will not make any sense to you, but as I sit and doodle one at at time..I focus on it, and then go to the next without really enjoying it...I do them, place them with the paperwork for shipping/scanning. etc. and then when I get back around to them, I really love looking at them...& even wish that I could do that!...
um..H is for....hello...
I do do that. I told you that it would not make much sense. It is similar to making a project and then not looking at it for a long time....and then you look at it again...and you LOVE it...and it dawns on you that YOU made it. R is for Rewarding.(insert big smile)
I have been experincing a little bit of ...well, I think because the ink from the markers might be making me feel a little woozy...like when you are smelling too many perfumes...every once in awhile I have to stop and step away from the markers...so this is what I have been doing to relax in the evenings...and what I am going to show you in 100% Simply Complicated.
Cute huh...what are they...I do not know...they might end up being giant raviolis. Here is the simple part...they are felt. I love felt. and my stitches are 100% un-straight and perfectly crooked...
and here is the complicated...
I have a die cut system. I have entire alphabets dies..here at home....but because I like to make stuff..I hand cut these letters...with no lines, no markers, just a vision...oh and there are more..I just have not shown you yet. Even the Valentine asked why I was not die-cutting...and I have no answer. The other complicated thing...is you all know that I get up way before the sun...but they other night, as I was cutting..I was so loving what I was doing...I cut until 1am.
me? 1 am??? yes, me. 1am. and what am I doing with these I ask again...I don't know yet. It is just me..being Simply Complicated.
I should go now...the ink, the lack of good sleep and the scissor indents on my fingers are making me crazy....I think I will go watch the news....hahahahahahahahah...oh..we need to pray for this world.
So congrats to the winners Becky & Shawna....remember to send me your info..
Tomorrow is
Hip Hip Hooray!!! all day I plan to stay in my cozies (a.k.a. sweats) & prepare for the weekend....and for the next Make It Monday....I also have got some big creative things happening Saturday so I have LOTS to do...including

- getting ready to send out my January Newsletter..so if you want to be added to the list, please make sure you click on that button up there...

I think those felt creations would look great on a pillow. I know how you feel--once the creative button turns on it doesn't turn off! Mine has been on the last couple days and because of it I haven't taken down the Christmas tree--the ornaments are off, but the tree and the lights are still lingering!

i got the felt tissue cover pattern. It is so cute. But, even more so are your wonderful words of wisdom - that was a bonus. I love them. I am going to try and make some this weekend. I think they would be great gifts for my school's office gals and my room mom helpers. Keep the ideas flowing, because I could give them something every month (if you keep the ideas flowing). Thanks.

I have a question that I'm not sure if you've already addressed: if I buy a framed "one little word" doodle, do I have permission to scan it and print another copy for my scrapbook? When I went to your etsy store today, I didn't see the PDF version available. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place...
