I am amazed at how quickly my boys can start arguing in the morning. It has got to be a skill. I wonder if they have awards for this....
Jack woke up at 3:22..with me...so he has been up a while..Ben arose at 7:OO am and within 2, I repeat TWO SECONDS, they were arguing over the remote control.
Then they were arguing over blankets
and space on the couch.
Let me stop and remind you that we have HOUSE OF COUCH which simply means that we have a really big couch in a really small room and there is way more room then they even need.
There had been approx. 10 minutes of peace, and then...silly me, I had to go mess it up by asking Jack to pick a name for the winner of the box o' stuff.....
I should have known....
I should have just woke up the Valentine.. heck, I should have asked the dog...
but I asked Jack...
and not Ben....
therefore...
we now have TWO, just like the number of seconds it took them to argue...
WINNERS!
so congrats to Kim Ackerman ( I swear...I do not know her and it was a total honest, legitimate win with no peeking, no nothing....I PROMISE!!!!!!!)
and
Erin Bassett
oh...here thy go again....amazing!
"no"...."yes"..."no"...."yes".."give it to me"....no"...yes"...."MOM"....give it to me"..."no"..."stop"..."MOM!"...."give it to me..." No"..."yes"...."Mom!...."
PLEASE tell me that this happens at your house.....
Have a lovely morning! (insert big sarcastic grin)
p.s....I believe the typepad comment problem is still a comment problem....I hope that they fix it soon.

Congrats to the winners! And yes it happens at my house too. Only my "only" child argues with me. LOL It gets better I hear, they move out and go to college in a few years. Hope you have a great weekend.
Just wanted to add that I received my finished tissue holder and I LOVE it. You did a great job on it and if people haven't ordered theirs yet and want one please get one. These are just so pretty sitting there in your purse holding your tissues. Oh the cuteness.
Thank you Stephanie for brightening my day.

Just found your blog and I am so, so happy. Was going through some of my magazines and found the premier copy of homegrown hospitality. It reminded me that I had never seen another issue so I googled it and found your blog. After reading I'm very sad to learn that the magazine was renamed twice and now discontinued. I remember looking for other issues after the first one came out but never found any at my local magazine stands. Do you know of any way I would be able to purchase the other issues (not sure how many there were)after the name was changed? I love your work and am very happy that I found your blog. At least I'll be able to see some projects on it. Thank you so much and I can't wait to see more of your work.

Dear Stephanie...mine are 23 and 19 and the eternal bickering over anything has not stopped unless one of them is away at school which means you have a good relationship with the one at home and miss the other like crazy. The only change is the 4syllable "moo-oo-oo-um" is deeper now. Taking over the remote was not the answer, putting it on a timer so it switched every 30 minutes resulted in the TV clock not matching the VCR clock, etc.......the only thing I was ever sure of was that they would not burn the house down, because 'on your feet you lose your seat..' AND both of them are waaayyy too lazy to go find the matches. love you, Karen Greenfield
