can make a huge difference. This is the fifth year I am taking Ali's lead with One Little Word.
2008 was a year to define my Purpose
2009 was a year to just plain Focus
2010 was a year focused on Hope
2011 was a year to Cultivate
and 2012 is the year to Practice all of the above....
practicing art...inspiring hope...sharing my faith...teaching the skills I have been given...being quiet...listening...comforting...praying...helping...developing...living...giving and loving...
these are just some of the things that I want to practice doing for the first time, better, stronger and longer...
for God, for me, for you, for them, for us.
What is your word?

What a great word! This is my first year doing OLW and my word is Faith. I have lost faith in myself and everyone/everything else and I need to get back.

My OLW for 2011 has been restore and I was thinking about having Focus for 2012 but am really taken by your choice of Practice. I think I need a verb that helps me DO things rather than thinking.

My word is FOCUS. I took OLW this past year and I am hoping I will have the money to do it again in 2012. I may have to forego it this year since I am taking your class.

My word for 2012 is "Listen." Primarily it is about me slowing down and listening to and HEARING God more and also about really HEARING my daughter.

Grace is my word. I am so glad God's grace is new every morning. Yesterday is gone and today is a day of new possibilities...to be obedient to Him and show His love and mercy to others, and walk in the destiny that He has planned at this stage of my life.

I actually have three that when I wrote about it seemed to be interchangable: Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise. I blogged about it if you want to read how it "evolved" and intertwined.

In the past two years my life have been a roller coaster. I have seen my oldest son get divorced and then I have seen him remarry his wife. I have been through the trauma of my younger son losing his eye sight and then through the miracle of the Lord restoring his sight. I have had my daughter run away from home and rejoiced when at last after 18 months she returned. In the past month I have learned that my father has just weeks to live. This year I want to EMBRACE life in all it's aspects.

We (my family will be relocating!) so I've chosen EXPLORE as my word for 20twelve! To travel, learn and get to know my 'new' area!

I finally got it! "Wholeheartedly". I know it is not really original, but it fits where I am as this new year approaches. I wholeheartedly want to embrace all that this new year has to offer. Bring it on!

Appreciate-Appreciate all that you have and live each day appreciating what you have. You just never know what will happen tomorrow, so live each day to the fullest and appreciate what you have. That is what I am doing. APPRECIATE.
