I arm wrestle with myself about my doodling "art" on a daily basis. (That is the "Simply Complicated" part of me, which for the most part, is completely unnecessary.)
The thing is, I love doodling because I love the way I can relax while coloring something, and that seems a tad selfish, because, really..it is not about "me"..duh....but I also love that I can take a plain piece of white paper and turn it into a picture by adding colors, lines, shapes, a thought and usually a heart.
I do not know it it is the thickness of the black lines, the colors of the pens I used, the phrase, or a little of all three, but I kinda love this little lost doodle (I have alot of them, lost doodles, that is)
This is another part of my self-arm-wrestle competition...the fact that I have a HUGE, bulging, over flowing file STUFFED with "little lost doodles" and the confusion of what to do with them.
For now,
I will just keep doodlin' what I am doodlin', sharin with you what I am sharin, teachin you what I am teachin and knowin (with out seein) that I am goin in the right direction...
That my friends, is Faith.

Just keep on keepin on! Have a Happy Doodling day! :)

Don't feel bad because it feel right. It's easy to do because it is right. You are listenin' and doin' what you are supposed to be doin'! As for your lost doodles, you could put them all in their own little book. Sort of a Smash book for lost doodles!

Use your stash---Anyone you send a doodle to would be blessed by the offering. What a great way to share of yourself:-) Perhaps you can just send doodles to people on the prayer list at church or give your doodles to a card ministry to include in their mailings:-) Just some ideas.

i had a thought about all your art...have you ever considered approaching a card company and working with them (whoever they might be) and have your doodles on cards. i make my own handmade cards, but TONS of people invest in cards every day. and your art would be perfect for that. i'm just sayin. i'd love if someone gave me a card with your art on it. i'd save it forever for sure. or possibly other design ideas? maybe that's not what you're thinking of...just what to do physically with them. hmmmm...i use to make cards for our church birthdays...you can always turn them into gifts for others. :) i don't know why but i kept thinking...you're art should be on products from dayspring. they are bright and cheerful and seem to mesh with what they already put out. sorry if i'm reaching into business that is not mine. i'm just sharing thoughts out loud after reading your blog today!! :)
happy tuesday.

You could take pictures of your doodles and make a photobook. I just did that with my kids arts and crafts projects and I love it. Much easier than trying to keep up with a bunch of individual items and now since I'm not limited by space, no agonizing over which ones to keep.

Stephanie, I love your doodles/handwriting. Even your to-do lists are uber cool. I have never been a doodler. You inspire me.

You could have your art licensed, or you could start your own business. Dream big, start small. We started our cards using a copier, just one color, and then we colored the drawings in with pencils. It sold! Now we produce thousands of cards! You are very talented and I'm sure people would love to buy your art on not only cards, but mugs, clocks, tshirts, etc. If you have lots of doodles, you could also use it for marketing, and hold giveaways. Blessings! :^) patsy
