I LOVE this idea. I found my tags and went to my Microsoft Word program and printed out the verse on the tag. I will put it in the journal and then write about it. God gives you terrific ideas to share...thanks so much! :)

Stephanie,
I feel like God smiled on me in a special way today. He is so amazing!
I have been following your blog for a couple of months. I love your doodles! But, I love your love for the Lord even more!
When I saw your link to the 40 Days in the Word, I decided to do it along with the other Bible study materials I am now using. Little did I know, these studies overlapped with some of the same verses. So, I am hooked.
Then, I realized when I started listening to the devotional, that this is part of your church's minsitry. I am going to be visiting Saddleback this spring for the Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit. (I am a mom to 9 kids--5 of whom are adopted. Plus, I head up the Orphan Care Ministry at my church) I have been looking forward to this event for months. In fact, I just got an email today that said registration for the event is now open. It is so exciting to think that I will be doing this study and then will actual be at your church in a few months.
After doing the devotional, I decided to look a bit more closely at your blog. For the first time, I read your "profile." You have an amazing story and I love your creativity! This is where it really gets good! In your profile story, you mention the magazine "Home Grown Hospitality." You picture the premiere issue from back in 2007 and I recognized it! I had it sitting on my table! I just went through my "old" magazines yesterday as a part of my goal to organize/clean out one area of my house each day in 2012. As I was going through these magazines I just could NOT throw this one out so I kept it and then today I see it on your blog. God works in mysterious ways! Only he would care about these kind of little details!
I feel blessed to have found your blog and I know I am going to be blessed by 40 Days in the Word! It would be so amazing to meet you when I come out to Saddleback this spring. If that doesn't happen, I'll still be rejoiceing that God smiled on me today!

Stephanie,
thank you for the link to 40 Days. I was just speaking with a girlfriend today about missing my weekly Bible study and needing to get back into the Word. I said, "my word for 2012 is "DO" and I really need to be a "Doer of God's Word" not just a bystander!" Our conversation went on and we each hung up to go fix dinner and get on with our evenings. Well, image my delight as I sat here reading your blog and clicked the link for 40 Days in the Word. The subtitle reads : " - Learn How To Be a Doer of God's Word" !!!! --- this rocked me right outta my seat!! :) His sense of timing is just perfection!! :) Thank you again! Looking forward to 40 glorious days! :)
Blessings,
Marge

I just wanted to tell you thank you for sharing these with us. You are such a blessing with the scriptures that you share. I originally came to your blog because of the doodles but I have kept coming back because of the scriptures that you post. i have started a small quote/scripture journal and whenever you post one I have been using them to practice my lettering with each of them, from here and elsewhere, but I just wanted to thank you for each and everyone that you post.

Stephanie....falling off the chair can be a good thing! Sometimes the best way to look up is laying flat on your back! ;)

Stephanie,
Just wanted to let you know that the Orphan Summit at Saddleback is May 3rd and 4th. I will, hopefully, be arriving on the 2nd and leaving on the 5th. I sure hope we will have a chance to meet! Is LAX the best airport to fly into to attend this conference? Or, is there a smaller airport near by? Thanks!

Hi Barb.."SNA" (Orange County, Santa Ana) is MUCH MUCH MUCH closer than LAX...might be a bit more but about 45 minutes closer! Let me know when you make accomodations so we have a chance to meet up!
