no, not in the Army..
in life.
Yesterday I mentioned LOVE one another, and if that is not hard enough, today I am mentioning the "P" word...
PURPOSE.
Don't roll your eyes.
YOU were created as a one of a kind with a....here it comes.....
PURPOSE,
so work at it and do it well.
Now, I know that sounds really easy...."Hey, just figure it out and do it."
But what if you are not sure?
What if you think you know what you are supposed to be doing but are not sure if you are supposed to be doing it...
then what?
Well, I suppose you could ask Siri, Google it or check Wikipedia, but my suggestion is to just plain ol' ask God...
and then listen.
p.s. here is a post about how it took me a long time to figure it out...

OMG this is so beautiful... I have tried to do stuff like this but if it is not what I consider perfect I toss it. I am working hard on it though... thank you for always inspiring me :D

Someone I know has been telling me for a few years now that they can clearly see my gift...my purpose. I can't see it yet. Not from not wanting to... I want to...but I can't see it and it's hard to embrace it when you can't see it.

I spent 2 days last week at Grove's with Miss Staci. We had a great time and can't wait for your visit. We have big plans for you (besides your classes) that include fine dining and shopping--for wool!

I am still searching for my purpose in life, and I hope I will find it someday.
But until that day, your blog keeps me up on my feet.
God bless you

My suggestion is to NOT SEARCH..but seek..and ask. I spent a little bit too much time in life thinking "I did not know what I wanted to do" in life, career, etc. when all along, it is not what I "wanted to do" but "what I was "created to do" I spent more time "looking" than listening to those around me (mom & Sara) and looking at my skills, abilities and talents....
Here is the key. Ask, listen and pay attention (that should be a new canvas)

Oh Kim, I am soooo ready and can't wait to get back to my home away from home...

Hi Kate, I cut those out by hand and then add paint! I have really been intentional on letting go of the perfect cut letters and focus more on the message...in the end it seems that perfectly imperfect is my style.

Aubien..
Remember that it is just like FAITH. We cannot see it. but we believe it.
Sometimes (no, most of the time) we create ideas in our head of the way WE "think things should look" and we are not paying attention to the way things are because we have confused our ownself. (me raising my hand!)
I am so like this, and I believe that it is natural because of the manic crazy life we live and the dang snake in the garden.
FIRST THINGS FIRST...
Just stop. stop stop stop. Put your foot down and just say enough. I say that because I got myself into that same "looking looking looking" and I was going so fast and furious that I could not and did not see anything.
I got so frustrated, confused and mislead by my ownself that I just gave in....not give up..just gave in to thinking I had everything under control and was doing what I was supposed to be doing.
Just stop, breathe, focus and pray and open your heart to what is waiting for you.

A great post, and one to continue to think about, thanks. I often find that whilst I may be uncertain about my life's great purpose, I know what I have to do today, and sometimes that is enough. I've been thinking and praying about purpose recently and can see a little more - but I don't think I'm meant to see too many steps ahead clearly.
I love this canvass and the colours in the background are fantastic. It all works so well.
