While preparing the "weekly page prompt" for the ladies in my Scrapbook Life Journal class, I grabbed a sheet of old book paper that I had torn out of a book to use for my example. My suggestions are always "Use what you have" and I have been "recycling" old books because I like the texture of the old book paper with the reminder to NOT pay attention to what is on the paper because it will be eventually covered up with something else...so I went along with the whole entire process NEVER READING what was on the page.
True Story.
I got to the end of the process and thought, okay, time to cover up or rip off the words that are not covered when the words jumped out at me like a stinkin Jack-in-the-box.....
THIS is how GOD talks to me...not in the lighting and thunderous deep loud voice from above...but in things like this. HE is always communicating and all we have to do is just STOP for a moment and listen, but not always with our ears.
Things like this remind me that HE is always always always right here. Walking along the way with me, sometimes pushing me up big steep stupid muddy hills, sometimes pulling me through days that last too long, sometimes carrying me across finish lines..and always sending subtle reminders for me to learn from and to share with you...
This is one of those times when I don't know exactly who this is going to reach, but based on today's world, we could all use a little shout from the sidelines to .....KEEP GOING!

Amen! :)

Thanks for that little reminder. I was just struggling with something similar yesterday. I hear you on the way God talks to us-- mine seems to come in my art and music. It's amazing!

Wow, this touched me! Sometimes when I'm struggling, I know He's there and I just hold my hand out in front of me and I know he's holding my hand and it comforts me.... Thank you for your post today; a wonderful way to being my Sunday!

Love the look that you have created and the instructions for the class sound like fun. I am so looking forward to the time that I can sit down and get caught up.
In the mean time, I am going to have to really work on my ability to tear a page from a book. As an English teacher and someone who loves books, I have always had a hard time with the thought of ruining a book.
Thanks for pushing me out of my box.
