We are 1/2 way through 2015 and it has flown by. We are also 23 weeks into Documented Faith and almost 4,000 women had created a habit of doing just that, documenting their faith. For some, it is daily, most are weekly and some monthly...the thing is, they are doing it. If they aren't but want to, I always encourage to start where they are. Don't give up because you have not started. We are all busy but I will tell you this over and over and over again: If you give God the first part of your time, HE will give you all the time you need to get things done that you really need to get done.
Truth right there.
you will see.
Anyways, June 1st doesn't necessarily mean that I will start reminding you that Christmas is just around the bend, but I will say that once the 4th of July passes, than it is here before you know it. If you are like me, I like to rest, enjoy and absorb all of what December has to offer so I start preparing now. Do not get me wrong, I am in no way, shape or form buying decorations, baking or setting up the tree for Pete's sake but I do start "thinking" about the holidays.
First of all, I do not like to shop. Yep. Don't like it, never have and I am not a good last minute shopper. I do however like to put thought into gifts (and sometimes making things, but mostly for my mom) for the people in my life. Alright, WAY OFF TRACT..
What I wanted to tell you about is that as of June 1st, my newest online workshop, "Bible Journaling & Lettering..Inside & Outside the Margins" started. Thank you to those who have signed up. I am pretty happy to read the comments and the emails related to the workshop. For those who have not read about it, you can read here and please know that registration is ALWAYS OPEN AND ALWAYS WILL BE. Please also remember that it is a self-paced workshop which simply means that once you register, all of the content is there for you whenever you want, wherever you are. Here are a few peeks:
Also on June 1st I STOPPED DRINKING DIET COKE and started eating a 99% plant based diet. I say 99% percent because I am leaving a little wiggle room for travel. I am going to have to figure that out but the reason I did the big switch is because I have been exhausted, achy, restless, foggy, forgetful and exhausted. I know that I said that twice but that is because I was, well, exhausted and don't giggle, I know my age has alot to do with it, but it also has more to do with food.
I have to say that I am a pretty dang good eater. My diet consists mostly of fish, chicken, vegetables, no dairy except a little feta and greek yogurt BUT I LOVE tortilla chips, M & M's and Diet Coke (only 1 a day and not even every day) which I guess disqualifies me from calling myself a pretty dang good eater. I think those three things alone are enough to make me feel lousy because when I eat Tortilla chips, I want to eat the entire bag. When I eat M & M's, I want to eat the entire bag and we are not talking the little bags at the grocery check out. Okay, I have never eaten an entire one pound bag in one sitting but maybe three sittings. Anyways, for now, Diet Coke, even just one a day, is gone.
Don't think that I am CRAZY. I did not cut out caffeine. I cut out Diet Coke. I love to have coffee in the morning and will continue to enjoy a cup (or two) but have cut way back on that also.
This big change comes because I know not only is age up against me (dang it!) but I have a huge job ahead of me with my creative endeavors and there is just no way I can do it on my own. I need to be healthy in all areas of my life. Between the books The Daniel Plan, The 22 Day Revolution and a few other books, a whole lotta prayer and again the knowldge and admission that my own will power wont do it, I am pretty excited to start seeing some changes.
If you follow me on FB & Instagram than you will see my progress. Here is what I have eaten in the past two days:
Oh, and water.
I have had more water in the past two days than I have in an entire week which you know, makes you have to go pee-pee every 1/2 hour, but hey, I will take it. I will share my experiences every couple weeks here on this blog and will continue to encourage you to do something too. We can encourage each other.
