Things To Do...

I may be one of the last people on earth that NEEDS to write things down (and then cross them out) on paper vs. typing info into my "smart" phone(even though I have a new phone and a super cool little stylus to poke the screen with..hey,it is the little things for me)

I suppose I could choose to switch over to "smart" skills...but, I choose NOT to.  As Bobby Brown once sang..."It's my Perogative" (and don't hate me if you sing that song today.)  Three cheers for all of you that rely on your phone...Personally, I just have visions of me once accidently throwing my phone away, into a empty trash can that had water in the bottom...

the only GREAT memory about that is that Tim tried so so hard to be my super hero and save the phone....thanks buddy, I appreciate your trash can diving skills to this day...even though the phone ultimatly died.

Anyways...my 2011 Day-timer only goes to July so I COMPLETELY relish in the day that I "GET" to go purchase my new calendar inserts (I know...just hold your comments!).  Last week I had not purchased my inserts when I realized that I was hitting the road, so I bought a little "purse sized" calendar from Wal-Mart for like $4.94 that has become my go-to-handy-dandy-journal-doodle-calendar and I am highly suggesting that YOU go get one...oh, and treat yourself to a few new felt tip pens while you are in the office supply/stationary aisle and tuck it into your bag. 

This is a great example of RANDOM CREATIVE...Use it for notes....for ideas...as a journal...heck..use it as a calendar (duh) but use it...and enjoy it.  It may just be the best $4.94 you spend!

I am happy to say that I almost done putting together, fine tuning, tweaking and adding projects to my growing collection of projects for the upcoming launch of my next DIY "in your own space at your own pace" Random Creative On-line Workshop.

Random Creative was "born" after my blog admission to you a few months ago that I was going to embrace my "I work like a pinball machine" tendency and my realization that just because I might hate “dislike” a technique or process does not mean you are going to (and the same goes for the things I LOVE to do)

so...

I have been working on a LOT of techniques, ideas, projects, editing way too many photos and yes, even making a FEW videos for you to go along with the DIY on-line class. 

 
 
For those of you who are not familiar with my "Trailer Park Martha Style", when it comes to me and on-line classes, I am NOT a technical "Bells and Whistles" kinda girl. With me, you will be directed to a password protected class site where you will get the facts, the instructions, lots of PDF files to download, tons of photos and even a little "blah, blah, blah" from me...(lucky you!)

If you have never taken one of "on-line "classes, Doodle 101 and Doodle, Too! classes are always open and available for registration (and a GREAT tool for the upcoming Random Creativeclass, just sayin.)

Now if, by any chance you are going to be in Pennsylvania next week, we will be dabbling a bit in Random Creativeness at Grove's, so you might want to call Staci and sign up..

Farmers Market Friday

RANDOM CREATIVE is not just about paper, paint, ink or stitching...

Friday means Farmers Market and right now farmers market means....Strawberries. 
then I came home, baked, whipped, filled, frosted and topped it...more soon.

in between chopping Cilantro for salsa, making cake pops, folding laundry and getting ready for our annual 4th of July Block party that STARTS today...I have been randomly creating with Prima...Purple Onion and Paint....

Random Creative...

What is Random Creative?

The photo above is a perfect visual example of me being Random Creative. It incorporates so many techniques, it is almost ridiculous...but not really...because that it exactly what makes it just right (to me).

I used water color on canvas, die cutting, masking tape masking, decoupage, hand-stitching, machine stitching and free-motion stitching, collaging, layering, tearing, inking...

Random Creative it is like putting "Mixed Media" in a blender with my "Simply Complicated" &  "Trailer Park Martha" concepts.

Okay, that was clear !?!

Random Creative will make allow you reach way outside your box (because it has for me) or it will remind you of what you love to create with (because it has for me). 

Random Creative will give you issue you a creative license to experiment with new things, old things and allow you to hate dislike it...or love it (because this has happened to me over and over)

Confused?

It's okay..that is normal with me and my "blah blah blah".  You should be used to me by now, but for my newer readers, this is part of my R&D (Research & Development) and being one of God's Creative Crash Test Dummies...

When I am working and developing new things, I am like a pinball machine, bouncing from side to side and I thought maybe I would bounce a few things off of you..

because...

it dawned on me, that just because I hate dislike a technique or process does not mean you are going to..and the same goes for the things I LOVE...so...I have been working on a new class where we go through the techniques and processes.....together.......
