YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING and together we are doing something.
Thank you for sending tissues, fabric and sewn cozies! I have been stuffing tissue packs into the cozy, adding a prayer card, wrapping them all up and sending them off to help give a little comfort for those who need a tissue and a prayer.
This past week we sent a box off to an Emergency Room, a Fire Department, an ICU unit, a sweet couple in an Assisted Living Facility and several individuals that are either sitting at the bedside of a loved one or sitting in a bed recovering, healing or resting. We also sent a box to a group of at-risk teens in England and to the Team Chaplin of the Humboldt Broncos Canadian Hockey Team.
I also wanted to share this that I received a few days ago:
Thank you so much for the Bless You Project tissues! I just got them Friday. I took them to work on Saturday and handed out the first one. It was a sad situation...I was able to go in and quietly give hand the mother a Bless You Tissue Gift. She sat clutching it and she watched her daughter slowly dying. I feel so helpless in situations like that but now felt I had a little something to give her comfort.
As much as this is exactly why The Bless You Project was created, reading this very first story made me so sad BUT I am so grateful that together we are able to provide a tissue and a prayer.
If you have a contact or are a contact for Emergency rooms, Police Stations, Dr's offices, Child Protective Services, Jails, Half Way Houses, Rehabilitation Center, etc. etc. etc.. or know of individuals that could use a tissue & a prayer, go over to www.blessyouproject.com and let us know how we can help.
If you would like to make a monetary donation for postage, you can go to the same page and scroll down to the end of the page. Thank you to those of you who have donated supplies, tissues, fabric and dollars! It all helps, matters and is greatly appreciated.
