these two words are front and center in my mind today
we have had a whirlwind of a weekend over here at our house, and so much to share and blog about...that it is honestly toooo much!...There is so much happy & turmoil going on around here, that I am seriously feeling like a bottle of Italian Dressing...half & half...oil & vinegar....salt and pepper...so like in my previous blogs, I am taking the victory with the defeat....the good with the bad...the ups and the downs...RIC RAC...that is what it is...RIC RAC....
so here goes..in a semi-condensed version...
Happy St. Patrick's Days...the day to wear green...so that you don't get pinched....The day of Luck....and yes, I am a LUCKY girl....LUCKY to live where I live (NO...I do not mean in the O.C....I mean in America....) LUCKY to have the family & friends that I have...Lucky lucky lucky to be able to do what I LOVE...for a living...LUCKY to live close to the school my boys attend (so that I do not have to pay $3.87 per gallon to fill up my BIG car )(that I am LUCKY to have) LUCKY that I married the boy of my dreams and LUCKY that my kids seem to love him a whole lot..and LUCKY
to have a wonderful new family ...a
nd lucky
to have an extended family that has LOTS of fun together
and lucky that the creative passion & desire in my head and heart never seem to run out and I can make a cake instead of heading to Coscto....(D!) even though
sometimes, it exhausts me...it is all worth it in the end!
LUCKY that it was not any more windy yesterday then it was because the cotton candy machine on the driveway was blowing beautiful pillows of sugar ALL OVER me, the trees, the guests and it was hilarious....
we had a crazy fun huge pizza party for Ben's birthday and we were all LUCKY to have great weather until about 4...and then a huge lightening storm rolled in and honestly were very LUCKY that the lightning bolts did not hit the house...because it was CLOSE! so we unplugged the jumpie and closed the garage...I will share what we did on Saturday tomorrow..
now, for the PRAYERS...our state is such a disaster in regards to EDUCATION......disaster is not an appropriate word for it...I could doodle up some choice words for it...but I am going to redirect that creative force into painting signs to help support of teachers......
our school district, and our beloved little school....was hit by a tsunami of pink slips....it is horrible, awful, dreadful, awful...arghhh....we need to pray....pray pray pray pray pray.......pray for clarity...pray for strength, pray for the right things to happen...pray for decisions...and pray for 19 BILLION dollars to show up...specifically 19 million for SVUSD...pray pray pray!
I am going to go now...and pray...and paint.....signs wont make a change (statewide), but it will show our support and that makes a difference.
