It is 10am & I just finished kits, baking, painting and binding for tomorrows class at Oh, Scrap! 

I must say that it feels really good to be ready, organized and excited for not only tomorrow's class but for my double date tonight with friends & Bon Jovi....

Some may think or even say that I am crazy for doing this but I really think that it is worth it to totally prep my classes so that YOU can take time to LEARN techniques and focus on the amazing products that I am using instead of being stressed by measuring, trimming and binding so for you who are coming to class tomorrow will be excited to know that your entire books are all put together..but do not think for a minute that it is done..oh no, we are going to pack this book up with LOTS of love and will take some time to learn how to make these...

The Definition of a "Trailer Park Martha"

(Note - as Blessed as I am with some things...um, today it apperas that my typepad skills are lacking..just keep reading..you will see)

I am VERY BLESSED to be able to do what I love for a living and say that all the time.  With that said, I am also very lucky to receive the latest and greatest from Teresa to create things for classes as well as to inspire you.  With all that I receive and create from, I accumulate a lot of scraps and I JUST CAN NOT GET RID OF THEM because I see the potential for other things.  Because of this "skill", I often refer to myself as "Trailer Park Martha" which simply means that I can create things just as lovely as Martha, but with the things that I already have lying around here.  I have come to love and embrace those TPM skills and in turn have started incorporating them into my classes and projects so that I can inspire you to look beyond a 12x12 piece of patterned paper.

Now, with that said, I received my "Daily Quote" from Values.com this morning and it reminded me of MANY things including what I am working on right this minute and thought that it would be a good reminder for you as well as a sneak peek into what I am working on.

don't like pink ? Not a problem because I also am working on this one

with new stuff and "not as new" stuff...and personally, if you ask me, I LOVE the look.

I am telling you, Teresa keeps designing lines that are very "Garanimals" and it works for me!!!

another big part of my teaching is based on learning how to create your own "Homegrown & Handmade" embellishments from the same papers.. so in my spare time (THAT makes me laugh) I take my scraps and prep them for YOU to create with them in class..

Okay, I am giving too much away...

I know, I know... I have not posted, nor even opened my facebook page in a REALLY long time, therefore, I am way out of the loop on that & many things. (It is a really good thing that I don't have a farm because the fields would be full of weeds and the animals would be STARVING if not.....)

I did update my photos this morning but don't really know how to tell you where they are, but I will tell you that everything is created with NEW & OLD Teresa Collins product, duh!..well, and speaking of Teresa, here is a REALLY GOOD example that I am way out of the loop is that I did not even realize that there was this:

oh boy!

I loved your guesses and cracked up at a few of them..and..a few of you got the answer on the dot, so I have to go back and look at the times, look at my stash and figure out how to do this fair...

so yes, for those of you who guessed "VW bus", you are correct!  and for those of you who remember what I used to look at through the kitchen window....I now have this to wake up to each and every wonderful GOD given morning...

and yes, it is green.  The official name of the color is called "Phoenix Gold" although the color is not even close to gold..and yes there are some things that need to be worked on, changed, added (really??) but other than that, it will be our families fun bus....and yes, you will see me stacking surfboards on it this summer, so if you see it on the 5 fwy...it will be me driving (hopefully by then, in another color combo..something CUTE like Tan & White)

anyways....

I had the best class on saturday and want to thank Linh & Terry and the whole group that met me at "Once Upon A Memory" in Huntington Beach for 3 hours of creating (& cookies!)  The world has 18 new "florists" as we learned how to make the "oh so beautiful" paper rose....I love to teach new techniques and "how-to's" ...you know, like this

 the right way to use a bind-it-all, in case you were confused or nervous about using it...

anyways...

Thank you all...and I look forward to returning on March 27th for another jam-packed class...

first, a kinda GASP at a worldwide SPECIAL REPORT for Tiger Woods...BUT, I will admit that I was front and center with my coffee waiting...

The most important thing that we are forgetting about this entire thing is that we are required, by the "boss" to forgive.  plain and simple. 

Personally, I am one for SECOND CHANCES.  The thing is, and don't say.."Yeah, but.." WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES....and we all need FORGIVENESS...and we all MAKE BAD CHOICES....and yes, he was reading from a printed out paper, but I mean COME ON.....he was talking to the world...about A REALLY BAD THING THAT HE DID....shoot, it is hard enough to admit one thing to one person, let alone THE WORLD...especially when your mom is sitting two feet away from you with a VERY DISAPPOINTED sad face.

An Update on Fiona...(WARNING...kinda GROSS)

I feel like a proud, "auntie" as she pooh'd the whole kit and kaboodle out with, um ease? I was so exited, I grabbed a bag, grabbed the pooh, and was just in utter amazement as I pulled out a razor, and it was a "Venus" Razor head..those things are HUGE! I was picturing like a little cheapy disposable thing....anyway, all is well.

An M & M update....

It has officially been 6 days without one M&M.  I even have TWO "easter color" pound bags ready to go with me to my class at "Once Upon  A Memory" today and I have no intention of even eating one.  I consider M&M's to be the official candy of the Devil because he sure does throw temptation at me in the form of M&M's...but to no avail, as I type with my head held high....I WON'T DO IT....I WON'T EAT ONE! (so there!)

and lastly...

I am working really really hard on living life without nails.  I know, it sounds as pathetic as a special report on Tiger Woods, but I am still struggling with washing my hair, opening balance bars, picking up anything and now, my poor little fingertips feel bruised from constantly jamming them into everything...the fingertip bumper guards are gone....other than that, they feel good and I feel..almost "earthy" if that makes ANY sense...

okay, and one more HUGE thing...and there is a HUGE supply prize involved..and only ONE HINT and those FEW people that already know (no I am not pregnant) are not able to play....(Deena, GND, neighbors!)

Marriage is about compromise right?  and I guess I need to say that he built me this....

for my hobby...ut, um..WORK...and so now the Valentine has his very own hobby...

and I am only going to show this ONE hint...and this contest will go until someone figures it out...(p.s just to clarify, because I knew you'd be concerned....) that is a piece of grass..NOT a SCRATCH right below the..GHOST FLAMES????!!!!)

Can You Do Me A Favor?

Last week I was asked to create some projects with a very quick turnaround, which is right up my ally but the hitch was, it needed to be in, um ENGLAND just as quickly, so I got to work, got it done, packed it up and sent off the United Kingdom in record time.  The reason I was able to create so quickly is because it was a call based on Weddings, huh??? Say no more..again right up my homegrown ally!!!!

so while of course I can't show you everything, I can share this little "favor" created with patterned paper & ribbon from the brand new "Mr. & Mrs".line by Teresa Collins Designs, a die from Sizzix, a few rhinestones, and of course, a paper rose.

Doesn't it look sweet?One of the really great things about this line is that it is all done in neutral colors so that you can accent it with your own colors....

I tell you, that Teresais always thinkin!

A challenge and a reminder (& an update)

here is what I created.  A 6 x 12 fold out page with paper, photo and, ut um..sticker letters on the outside and lots of journalling on the inside.

BIG and little things...

I am starring at a new computer and computer screen that is so big that it makes my eyes water.  You will shake your head when you see it.  It was time for a new system..BUT....as I type this at 9:15 am, it marks the FIFTH hour that I have been trying to get my email situated...

and after too many tears, I have given up for a little bit...therefore I am letting you know that I do not access to internet and I have spent too much time on it, and well..I have other thing to tend to...

like, I am "baby sitting" today....hour on the hour...for Fiona...the bulldog next-door that decided two days ago  that it would be super fun to eat her momma's shaver.....and so, I am on pooh-duty today...YES, you read that right....Fiona's momma & daddy needed to return to work so I am checkin in on her hourly, you know...to see if the razor head comes "out"..YES you read that right...and yes you are seeing that correctly in the xray...that white thing, is the razor head (don't FREAK out) it is NOT going to cut her...

anyways....

next up is a HUGE great FUN announcement regarding a NEW BLOG that debuts THIS FRIDAY.....

and then lastly for today ( i, think!) there are a few spots left at  "once upon a memory" THIS SATURDAY and

the class at Oh, Scrap! next Saturday is SOLD OUT......so....we added a second class on the same day....please call Mary or Jennifer at the store to find out the class times...BOTH on the same day....

A "Simply Complicated" Trailer Park Martha

For new readers and as a reminder for those who have been with me since the beginning (thank you!) 

this is me...a "simply complicated trailer park martha"

I am a VERY simple girl that seems to always complicated things...mostly in a good way...

for instance,

SCRAPS.

I have this "skill" to acquire a huge amount of scraps (someone in my house that is 6'4 likes to refer to it as hoarding!) In my defense, I use my scraps for everything creative related and that includes teaching YOU all what to do with them and I am very proud of this next project and it is in keeping with my quest to

"bring letter stickers back"

It all happened rather quickly as I was smack dab in the midst of something else when I got my daily scrap-scene update....

and there is where I lost all focus on what I was supposed to be doing....(I know, I know) and went right onto something else...

but again, in my defense...It did not take long at all...and then I went right back to what I was doing...

it is a big jumbled lovely creative mess of words like

well and a string of numbers because I used all of the vowels!

This is going to be the cover of a NEW CLASS called "Definition: Me" a book class & progressive project.

I also "might" try this on a canvas today, that is. AFTER I finish doing what I need to do...which is bible study, laundry, instructions, post office drop off, photo editing...you know...
