If you have not already noticed, I took down the links to my on-line classes. Don't worry, if you have recently signed up for one, are in the middle of taking one or need to finish one, you are fine. They are not changing, I am just not taking anymore sign ups.
Based on my new way of teaching, what I am learning from Hello Business, Hello Soul and what works and is created best from my heart, I have been making some changes, making new decisions
and writing new UPDATED classes and will be on-line (and in store) teaching again soon..
I am loving this quote and am thinking that it needs it very own doodle and piece of canvas HEart soon: "Ultimately, things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out" Barbara Johnson
Well, besides one silly cable that I need to go get, I am back in business...Praise the Lord! I am a happy little "get back to work" camper with a brand new system, some ideas brewing, a few new classes being written and a whole lotta art to create and kits to prepare because this time next month, I will be in Pennsylvania...
Loving the land
and creating/teaching art....and stitching...and sharing chocolate chip cookies....
Yay!
Funny how when "things, issues, etc. " happen, we are forced to stop and then we recognize what is working, what is not working and what could work different, less or better. I WISH I would learn lessons BEFORE issues arise, but, I am human, duh, and I forget....that is why I do what I do and I am so appreciative of your patience, support, prayers, "words of wisdom" and "hang in there's".
I am still waiting for the call that the computer transplant has been successful completed so I have been getting some spring cleaning done, some new doodles down on paper and a little garden transplant completed....
The lack of a computer makes room for many other unattended and neglected things to get done...
Well, the "What If ..." thing that is always in the back of my mind with the computer that holds all of our pictures, all of my artwork..all of our documents....everything...happened here late Thursday night.
First thing Friday morning, I loaded the ol' computer carefully in the front seat of my car, made a short drive and felt like I was walking into the Emergency Room wanting to scream for a doctor to help.......and after 1 hours and 30 minutes with a VERY very nice, patient and informed serviceman, we made some decisions on what steps to take...and I left the store empty handed, a little stunned that the "What If" really did happen, a little woozy from the bill and semi-confident that all would be retrieved..with time.
Now, close to 72 hours later...I am still awaiting a call that I can come pick up my new computer and am assuming that the email registration that just posted for a new system and an email confirmation of my subscription to "Carbonite" indicates that the transplant is almost done.
Note to Self: Don't assume that the external back up system you have is plugged into the computer just because it is sitting next to the tower. It has lights to indicate power, duh.
Note to Self: ALWAYS make the restore discs that your computer suggests that you make in case of an emergency. Huh, really?
Note To Self: Create a list of passwords and the Microsoft Office Key (that super long letter-dash-number-dash-letter key) so you don't have to scower the internet to find it...key found..whew.
Note To Self: Take photos, download photos, edit them, order them and copy them to a disc for safe keeping.
That's alot of learning for one weekend...and I have not even started with the new system.
Between the computer, or lack of one, ..I was able to plant new flowers in the front yard (because it was warm and sunny and as I type this it is just starting to rain)
throw a little 13th birthday party for Ben, travel to an away soccer game and get 10 loads of laundry not only done..but put away.
This weekend has been super productive without the computer and made me realize a few important things to take note of besides all of the learning and lessons.
I am assuming that my main computer is just in a really really really deep sleep and that someone from DELL will come quick...
and wake it up.
Today, I am giving you a new doodle to color and hopefully inspiring you to give something to someone else, kinda like a "Do Something" and "Pass It On" challenge.
Dream...big dreams
Create..something
Love..one another
Believe..in yourself
Practice..good deeds
Give yourself 20 minutes to color and think about the things above WITHOUT thinking you should be:
Taking 20 minutes (more or less) of quiet, being still, or in this case, coloring. It will relax you a little and add a little JOY to your soul...and reboot you, and if you are a mom, a girl, a lady, etc.....I know you could use a little reboot...
then..."Do Something" like
and you will find that
"There is more happiness in giving than in receiving" Acts 20:35
Directions on how to print this doodle out because Typepad will NOT cooperate with me therefore making this an example of being "Simply Complicated" (dang it!!!):
I am still being inspired by the February issue of Oprah and again, in the same article that I quoted from the other day, I read more really good stuff...
so today, I am going to be making things.
it is raining so I am making soup...
it is a sport free weekend so I am making art
and I am a mom so I am making piles of laundry to wash...
What are you going to make?
