The most frequently asked question I get is about my online class, "A Whole New Doodle"
Q: Is it still available?
A. Always! It is a self-paced class that is always open and available for registration. You can read all about it & sign up here.
Q: What is in my art journal?
A: Honestly, I have started and stopped so many journals that I stopped counting...until this year. When I got my first Dylusions Art Journal, I told myself to start it and finish it and by golly, it is almost filled! Here is what I penciled in and committed to back in January:
and I have continued to doodle in at a school, in airports, on airplanes, on vacations, waiting for kids at practice and pick up and so on and so on...
I admit that as I goback and look through this journal, it just makes me happy.
Now, in the past, if I doodled something and I didn't like it, I would just rip the page out BUT when I started this book, I gave myself one rule:
No tearing pages out.
Dang it!
What I do now is fold the page over, doodle on it and then keep going. It not only covers up what I don't like, it adds a little bulk to the book and I like that, too.
So what is next, now that my journal is almost filled? Well, you are hearing it first, right here...right now:
I am working on a new class for 2014 called "A Whole New Journal" and is all about creating art from the art you make and adding into a journal. Here is your first look at the new Dylusions smaller journal that I will be using and creating in. (I have already created the cover for it, which is a perfect example of making art from art)
Now, we are still 4 months away from the new year and by then you may have forgotten about this blog post or it may be something you will want to add to your Christmas list so, if you would like to be added to the interest list for "A Whole New Journal", just fill out the info below and when it is time, I will send you a reminder.
