I am coming to you this week with an easy and fresh summer "10 Buck Salad" idea. This is similar to a salad you would buy in a restaurant for 10 bucks when really you could make it in your own kitchen and save the 10 bucks.
The ingredients are always simple and 9 times out of 10 I have all of the ingredients in my refrigerator.
- Shredded Chicken - I cook Chicken two times a week so that I always have some ready for salads and for dinner.
- Butter Lettuce, Spinach & Mixed Greens
- Chopped Celery & REAL Carrots (not the little whittled down ones in the bag)
- Black Olives
- Fresh Mushrooms
- Avocado
- Chopped Cilantro
- Feta (because...Everything is betta with Feta)
- Strawberries (when in season)
- Salt & Pepper
- BBQ Sauce
Throw it all in a bowl, toss it and serve yourself some. Drizzle a little BBQ sauce on your portion (not on the entire salad in the bowl) and enjoy!
