This past weekend was different than any of my in store workshops because we didn't just stop when the class was "over." It was a retreat therefore we ate, slept, laughed (actually CRACKED up) cried, stayed up late, got up early, laughed, and created together...and laughed..and ate at The Heber House in Heber, Utah.
I loved it. Alot.
It made it possible for me to get to know more about each woman and that is a HUGE part of what it is all about (now you can sing Hokey Pokey in your head all day).
Although I always share (no preaching, no boasting, no pressure) about my faith, my family, my journey and my own random blah, blah, blah, it really is NOT about anything else besides us being women that TAKE TIME out from our crazy lives to come together. Something we do not do enough of (and Dr. Oz says it is super important for longevity so I guess you could says, Dr's orders.)
I realized/recognized that in a retreat setting, when I share, it opens up the room for others to share, either with me or with each other and that is when connections and friendships are created. I left Utah filled to the rim with just plain ol' happy and my hope is that each women left feeling the same way.
