Our summer is 99% finished here, boo. School starts on Thursday and then we are back to our normal. I am a little sad that "summer" is going to be over but I am looking forward to the fall (yes, in California we have a Fall") Football games and LOTS of traveling. Speaking of traveling, I will be announcing several new classes both in 2014 and several for 2015. Keep an eye on the sidebar to the right for an update in the next day or two...and you wanna peek at what I am teaching??
All of my new classes will be incorporating my new Homegrown & Handmade line by Sizzix in one way or another. Whether you are a paper crafter, a stitcher, a painter or just a regular ol' lover of making things like me, there is pretty much a class for everyone.
My purpose of these workshops is to teach you to look past the general paper crafting uses of steel ruled dies and inspire you to incorporate shapes and words that have been created using dies into your art journals and mixed media art using several techniques, yay!
A workshop where we mix acrylic paints with inks, stamps and a little doodling to create the perfect one of a kind zippered bag to hold either your favorite markers, writing tools, watercolors, etc. or a place to hold your Documented Life Journal or your Journaling Bible.
and no set of workshops would be complete without a stitching workshop and what better way to relax than with wool felt, dies and a bunch of friends that can sit around, relax and stitch .
I am really excited to share that in addition to my classes, I am starting to incorporate a Bible Journaling "Meet Up" wherever I go. It will simply be free time in between classes when we can sit and create in our bibles/Journals together.
I can't wait to create with you! If you know of a store that holds classes, please have them contact me at homegrown1(at)att(dot)net and hey, many have asked and NO, you do not have to have a store to have me come teach...YES, I will come to your home, office, club house, studio, Church hall, etc...as long as you can get me to you and then back home with a place to sleep in between, let's make a plan....
Have a great {creative filled} day.
