Sorry for the brief interruption in the FahLahLahLahLah... today is a new day, PRAISE THE LORD.
Today I am sharing some photos of things I've made/stitched in the past several years as well as the last few months using Sizzix dies and wool felt. Speaking of wool felt, I have about twenty bundles of freshly felted wool felt just in time for fun Christmas projects and the perfect stocking stuffer for yourself (I buy my own stocking stuffers to help John out a little!)
Before we get started, here is a little tip for you:
In addition to steel rule dies, Framelits cut wool felt!
Yes, they really do. I highlighted the word "wool" because if it is not at least 80% wool, they either will partially cut through, or not at all. Three cheers for wool felt!
In the photo below, I used a really old circle die to cut the background (I cut 2) from Dark Gray felt, a heart from this die for the heart (duh) and then the Alphabet die to cut the words. Now, remember if you do not have what I am using, use what you have. Stitch the pieces onto the top circle and then stitch the 2 circles together. NOTE: BEFORE you stitch the two circles together, you could stuff it full of stuffing.
Hang this from the tree, a gift bag or a bottle of wine (or cider)
Speaking of stuffing, here is a SUPER cute way to use my Gingerbread man die. Now, of course you could just cut him and stitch him together flat on a tag like I did here or
you could cut two of him, stitch him together and right before you are ready to stitch him up, stuff him! I just wanna tell you how DANG cute he is stuffed!!!!!! If you are near St. Pete Florida, go in to WhimSoDoodle and check him out...he is there! oh, by the way, in the photo below, he is stuffed into a box made wit this die which coinsidently is the perfect size to hold a gift card, a few little candy canes and him, just sayin.
Here is a Mason Jar Topper Tutorial for you. I used my Holly and Berries dies for this but remember that you can use what you have or even create your own pattern.
