Sometimes I am a manufacture's worst nightmare because I have been heard saying "Don't buy something new, just use what you already have" which sells NO PRODUCT. I have arm wrestled with this my entire creative "professional" life....I am all about purpose over product. Again, that is NOT GOING TO HELP SELL PRODUCT.
The thought I put into designing a product is its purpose and that it will have a long life of multiple uses. If you know anything about the creative industry (or fashion, automobiles, etc.) is that every 6 months, every season and/or every year, a whole new launch of products is introduced into the market.
For most that is super exciting and fun.
For me, it is overwhelming and overstimulating.
Shoot, after 6 months I am just getting the hang of using something and the last thing I want to do is set it aside so that I can buy something else. P.S. I am not a shopper so maybe that is part of the reason, too.
ANYWAYS...as you may or may not know, I was part of the Sizzix family for several years designing Steel-Rule Dies as well as a handful of thin dies and coordinating stamps. Up until now, I had never stated this but to a few in person but I no longer design product for Sizzix. I know that a few of my designs are continuing to be reproduced and still available in some scrapbook stores, on Scrapbook.com and on Sizzix.com. The good news is, if you already have my dies, they are still just as usable as the day you purchased them (and thank you for that by the way!)
What may be old for me might be new to you so I thought I'd share a series of videos that I shot for Scrapbook.com (that I never even saw until today!!!) and links to the products that are available (turns out I can sell product!)

Here are some close ups of how I used my die shapes as templates for doodling..."I'm bringin' doodle back"
and for stitching
And well...it's 3 years old, but this is me (except I broke up with Diet coke right after this was shot)
