Before you think "oh geez her too?" just read what I have to say. I am not here to sell you a bunch of oils although I will give you a link at the end for those who have already asked.
I have been using essential oils for almost two years but have never really talked about it because of a few things:
- Mostly because I don't have all of the knowledge in my brain to be able to ring off the answers to questions you might have if we started talking about it
- I am a little skeptical, probably because I don't have all the knowledge. But I have felt better in the past two years because of a variety of things and oils have to have something to do with that.
In the past few months when I have posted photos or have mentioned what I use, the questions pop up and I fumble the information...but ya know what is funny? When I asked to get the information to share with you, I got it all. Duh.
Okay, so what do I use?
P.S. The above photo is not all I have, I do not have them all color coordinated (I did in the beginning) and I do not have them alphabetized nor on a shelf to display. I store them in three places: in my purse, in my medicine cabinet and in a travel pouch that my "Everyone need an Emily" gave me. Nothing fancy here folks.
Valor (Roller)- On my feet every.single.day
Deep Relief Roller - I use it on my arm for doodle arm spasms and on my neck when I sleep like a pretzel.
Thieves Oil - I diffuse it daily throughout my house
Thieves Drops - When I feel a little somethin-somethin coming on
Thieves Hand Purifier - on my hands because the world is filthy
Lavender - I diffuse it at night
Cool Azul Pain Relief Cream - on my neck and shoulders, arm and legs (during marathon training)
RC - When I start feeling like I might be coming down with something, on my chest it goes.
Breathe Again Roller - stuffy noses and colds
Stress Away oil - duh.
Peace & Calming - again, duh.
Copaiba - its like Icy Hot but natural. Good for muscle pain.
Digize - on my stomach for gut health/indigestion
Panaway - on bottoms of feet after running.
Frankincense - I simply say..If the Kings brought it to Jesus, then duh. Actually I use it nightly on my face.
Peppermint - I use it for headaches
and I LOVE LOVE LOVE their "lip Balm" but come on, it's chapstick. I have a lavender and a grapefruit. The most expensive chapsticks I have ever bought but worth every penny. I just put some on after I typed that.
As I mentioned above, some of you have asked me in the past few months about how you can buy essential oils through me and before I tell you that I want you to know:
- I am not going to solicit you to sign up (but here is the link just in case ) to buy a bunch of things and never use them.
- I also am not going to be able to give you a bunch of on the spot knowledge but I have this GREAT little spiral bound book that I call my Oil Bible. It has got all the uses, names, background..pretty much more than you'd ever need to know about essential oils.
- I am only going to share with you what I have personally used and what seems to work for me.
Now, I will tell you (just like it was told to me): You have to be a member to be able to buy Young Living Oils. I am a member but honestly, I had to ask, "What is a member and what does that mean?"
Here it is in a nutshell:
With becoming a member, there are two different types of membership. There is a Distributor and a Customer.
- A Customer is a member who chooses not to participate in the Young Living™ business opportunity and desires only to purchase the products directly from the company for personal consumption. Customers pay full price and have no ordering commitment, though they are required to order every 12 months to maintain an active membership. Customers do not participate in the compensation plan.
- Distributors receive a 24% discount (wholesale pricing) and are able to participate in the compensation plan. A distributor is required to sign the Distributor Application/Agreement Form. Members must accumulate at least 50 PV every year to remain active (they do not have to place one order of 50 PV, they can place orders to accumulate to 50 PV). At the time of sign up, a distributor is required to purchase a Starter Kit.
So, let's stop here for a second.
I am a Distributor which really just means that I signed up and purchased a Starter Kit and when I buy oils, I get them at a wholesale price. I am not suggesting or selling and using and now starting to share it all with you. The starter kit is pretty darn great. It has all of the essentials...no pun intended. It does not have the chapstick but my recommendation to the YL people is to add in one.
Becoming a distributor really does seems to be the smartest/ cheapest way to do this in the long run, especially if you want to just order for yourself.
So let's talk about the starter kit. Here is the page with all of the Starter Kits and here is the one that I ordered but it appears they have added to it in the past two years.
Here is a link to the Virtual Catalog for you to read all about it...then maybe you can teach me!
Okay, that's all I got for you right now.
If you have questions about Young Living, here is a link to the page about them.
If you want to become a member, please click on this link and it will take you to the page you need.
If you have questions for me, please ask. If I don't know the answer off the top of my head, which let's be honest, I probably won't, I will find it for you!
Now I have a headache from gathering all of the info so...you know...Peppermint, duh.
Oh shoot, I forgot about the vitamins..I use a lot of their vitamins.
