The question of the hour seems to be "Are you doing 52 Pickup in 2014?" and the answer is YES! The concept of this class is going to be basically the same where we use playing cards to create art but the focus on how and why are going to be a little more defined.
Like I mentioned, there will still be 52 cards (12 new designs each quarter/1 card per week) but one of the new ideas for 2014 is HOW you can create.
I have been painting, painting, painting,painting and more painting,
scanning, resizing, trimming and creating new cards and I am excited to share that the 2014 classroom will have 52, FIFTY TWO, YEP 52 images of my original art paper that you will be able to download and use on your cards.
Another new aspect of the class will be the WHY.
One of the things that I have loved most about this class is the fact that many are not only creating cards for yourselves, but also for others. I have continually been reminded of how important it is to remind the people around us (whether we know them or not) that they are loved and that they are important and that is why I have decided to continue on with this class, both online and in-store in 2014. In an effort to encourage and inspire others in the class, there will be a FB group as well as a Pinterest Board..and a dream where at some point, we can all come together somewhere in the US or beyond to meet, trade cards, create and get to know one another.
So I bet you are wondering why I am already teasing you with a class that will not begin until January 1st...well, first, 2014 starts in 106 days (yikes!) but really, it takes a bit for all of the class management to get into the correct places, there are SEVERAL classes out in the online world that are previewing and I thought I'd better get in the game and because the holidays will be here and the finances for all of us will change.
