When creating these new patterns, I simply started with what I had with no real plan of what they were going to become. I see them now as ornaments but I suppose you could applique them onto stockings, pillows or add them into an existing holiday banner or garland. Regardless, they are fun to create and super cute to just look at.
I challenged myself to use only what I had so I am passing this challenge onto you. As in all of my classes whether they are online or in person, never ever feel that you have to use the same colors, supplies, measurements or patterns that I use or provide. Be inspired by what I have done and challenge yourself to create something similar using what you have. If you don't have wool felt, but you have Christmas colored and patterned fabric, use that. There is no right or wrong way to do this.
In the instructions I added a few tips and reminders:
- When cutting out pattern pieces, wool felt is very forgiving once stitched so do not fret if your pieces are not exact.
- For the really small pieces, consider just freehand cutting instead of trying to cut with the actual paper pattern piece.
- Once all pieces are stitched on, use scissors to trim off any excess of the back piece.
- To cover up raw stitches on back of finished piece, consider cutting a second full body and either stitch or glue onto back.

3. Cut out pieces and parts and use a ziplock bag to keep all of your pieces in one place. Remember, for the really small pieces consider just freehand cutting instead of trying to cut with the actual paper pattern piece.

Basic Stitching Instructions:
All stitches used to create these projects are very simple. If you can thread a needle and tie a knot at the end of your thread, you are ready to stitch. I usually use between 2 -3 strands of floss.
